Wel Come to Our Organisation

The Cancer Patients Aid Association was founded 40 years ago in Mumbai by Mr Y K Sapru, who remains its founder chairman. Its aim then, as now, is to provide poor and needy Cancer patients with free medical aid and support. Today, it is a nationally known organization, with offices in Pune, Delhi, Bangalore and Chennai. The Pune CPPA was started in September 1995.

What we Do?

Over the years the CPAA has added to the range of services and activities it offers Cancer patients. Our most important function continues to be free medical aid. Diagnosis and treatment of cancer is expensive and our aim is to ensure needy patients have access to both. Radiation, awareness camps, free check-ups and guidance to patients and relatives is part of our activities.

For those in need we supply free monthly food grains. We also have a a project "MAKE A CANCER PATIENT SMILE" where we organize entertainment programmes for hospital patients, Also Yoga and Pranic Healing session , and also arrange outings for our patients and their relatives.

We are also making an attempt to generate a little income for patients by selling a variety of gift items made by them. Gaily painted vases, candles, plates, and diyas for the Diwali festival are made by the more talented among our patients throughout the year at our Nagar Road office.
